The Colorado Chi Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon was Founded April 11, 1891. The chapter was the key to the western expansion of the fraternity.
The chapter has grown to over 150 active members, securing itself as the premier house on campus.
Colorado Chi has a strong tradition of upolding the standard of being "The True Gentlemen" at CU.
Each spring semester, the Brothers of Colorado Chi band together under the common goal of raising money for a charity organization that holds a special place in all of our hearts.
CU Boulder and Colorado Chi alumni Brian Ash took a trip to Africa in the summer of 2012 with a vision of climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and doing volunteer work in Kenya. After seeing the atrocious conditions that street children in Kenya endure on a day-to-day basis, Brian and a few friends founded the Arrive in Kenya foundation shortly after his trip in 2013.
The paramount objective of this organization is to rescue street children who have struggled with extreme poverty, addiction, and hunger and give them the skills and resources to forge a better future for themselves. Numerous Colorado Chi graduates have moved to Kenya to aid Brian in his goal since its inception.
