We Need You…
…to help lead the Parent’s Club. The Parent’s Club is an all-inclusive organization where, if you are interested in helping us execute our Mission Statement (see below,) we could sure use your help. The following volunteer opportunities are available:
President– Shayne Wohl Morse currently holds office through Spring 2024. Position available for Fall of 2025.
Job Description: Oversee and guide club activities according to mission; monitor activities of treasurer; liaison between SAE Executive Council and club; collaborate with executive council for parent club events; find replacement before vacating position; ensure fluidity of program for the ultimate execution of our mission.
Past president – position is currently vacant.
Job Description: Provide guidance/support to Club.
Vice President – position currently vacant/available.
Job Description: Assist president in executing duties as needed; prepare to take over position of presidency; and find replacement before vacating position.
Communications/Secretary – position available for Fall of 2023. Job is currently held by Eve Lowey & Tiffany MacLaughlin and recommend combing into one duties for one person.
Job Description: Work with president to create bi-annual meeting agendas; take meeting minutes, distribute and maintain electronic files; assist SAE in updating our Parent’s Club webpage; create/send quarterly eblast; and find replacement before vacating position.
Treasurer – position available for immediate transition; occupied by Kathleen Kayl.
Job Description: maintain bookkeeping and provide quarterly reporting; manage checkbook, card readers and other transaction tools; reimburse members for club/SAE related expenses as needed; and find replacement for before vacating position.
Events Chair – position currently handled by many; available for Fall 2023.
Job Description: Mother’s weekend events; Father’s weekend events; and Mental health events.
Mental Health Chair- Julie Hess is current mental health chair; available for Fall 2023.
Job Description: collaborate with SAE Mental Health Chair; deliver food for mid-terms/finals weeks; help events chair coordinate outside speakers; and find replacement for before vacating position.
Club Mission Statement
The SAE Parent’s Club was founded with the mission of supporting the gentlemen of SAE Colorado Chi. The Club works alongside SAE to emphasize and prioritize academic success, brotherhood, character, safety, scholarship, philanthropy, and mental health. Club funds are used to the boys’ fraternity experience with things like, but not limited to:
Parents Club Dues=$150/year; $25 of every membership is earmarked to the Mental Health programming

The SAE Mental Health Fund was established by the Colorado Chi Parents Club as a response to the growing mental health challenges faced by college students. This fund supports mental health programs for SAE members, along with workshops run by a licensed therapist.
SAE Exec Council has a mental health chairman who helps spread awareness and access to tools in support of the SAE member’s mental health needs. SAE has partnered Patrick's Purpose - a nonprofit promoting mental wellness in schools and through educational programs and initiatives.
